How BinFever Works
How we find stores
We source new bin store listings from Google Maps, where store owners list their businesses directly. We run regular searches across every US city and state to catch stores that have opened recently or haven't appeared in other directories. Store owners can also submit their store directly at binfever.com/contact — we review submissions and add verified stores to the directory.
How we verify store info
After finding a store, we check its official social media accounts — typically Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok — to confirm it's still operating and to collect current pricing and store hours. Bin stores post their pricing schedules, Big Drop announcements, and hours changes on social media far more reliably than they update Google Maps, so social media is our primary data source for operational details. We only publish pricing schedules and hours we can verify from an official store account.
How we update data
Our pipeline re-checks store listings on a rolling basis. Pricing and hours are refreshed from social media on a regular cadence. When a store's social media goes quiet for an extended period, we flag the listing for manual review — some stores close without announcement, and we'd rather flag a listing than send you to an empty building. If you notice outdated information on any listing, please let us know at binfever.com/contact.
How to report errors
If a store's hours, pricing, or address is wrong — or if a store has closed — send us a note at binfever.com/contact. Include the store name, city, and what needs to be corrected. We review every report and update listings as quickly as we can. Store owners can also claim their listing and update details directly.
